Thursday Nite Live

An 18-season College Television Award-Nominated live sketch comedy television show on HEAT Network.

Hofstra's take on

"Saturday Night Live"

Thursday Nite Live consists of roughly 130 people working on each episode over the span of a 3-4 week production cycle. The show's departments include a closed writer's room for the live sketches, a package team/film unit, a live cast, a live musical guest, and a large live crew spanning from studio production to control room operations. TNL's show executive board consists of the two Co-Executive Producers, a Production Manager, two Head Writers, three Package Producers, a Director of Communications and Marketing that handles all social media and digital content, as well as Associate Producers and Associate Production Managers.

Brittany was the co-Executive Producer of seasons 17 and 18 of the Lawrence Herbert School of Communication's longest-running and largest show on its network, as well as the last episode of season 16. She is also credited with being the Associate Producer for season 16 episodes 4 and 5. Brittany was in the live cast of TNL for all of season 15 and season 16 episodes 1-4. Airing live 3 times per semester on HEAT Network, each TNL season consists of 6 episodes. Each episode airs completely live and in front of a live studio audience.

Brittany and the rest of her show board aired a remote Season 18 finale in May 2020 due to COVID-19. The episode, "Thursday Not Live", consisted of packages and other pre-recorded elements. This was Brittany's final show as Executive Producer.

Brittany and the rest of the TNL show board are so honored and proud of the entire crew. This is not only TNL's first CTA win, but also the HEAT Network's, and Hofstra University's as a whole. Brittany was so grateful to accept the award (virtually) presented by Jimmy Fallon on behalf of the show and its amazing staff. More information about the College Television Awards can be found on the Television Academy's website or on TNL's website.
